1. INTRODUCTION

4. QUALITY CONTROL POLICY
4.1 General
- All staff and partners are expected to act professionally, responsibly, and respectfully.

- Tale Production promotes efficient and environmentally conscious working practices, including reduced travel where possible and responsible equipment usage.

4.2 Visual Standards
- Camera operators and directors engaged on projects must be professionally experienced and vetted by Tale Production.
- Freelance crew are selected based on prior work, references, and suitability for the project context.
- Filming formats are selected based on project requirements; 4K acquisition is standard unless otherwise specified for practical or distribution reasons.
- Equipment is maintained and checked prior to production to ensure operational reliability.
- Visual consistency, brand alignment, and message clarity are overseen by a director or producer.
4.3 Audio Standards
- Professional microphones and recording systems are used for all primary audio capture.
- Redundant recording methods are used where appropriate to mitigate equipment failure.
- Audio is processed and cleaned using industry-standard software to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with delivery standards.
4.4 Content & Editorial Quality
- All scripts, storyboards, and structural outlines are aligned with the client’s brief and objectives.
- No content proceeds to production without appropriate client sign-off at defined stages.
- Research is undertaken where required to understand audience, subject matter, and comparable content.
- Shot lists and production plans are created to ensure coverage and efficiency.
- A single project lead is responsible for maintaining consistency of message, quality, and communication.
4.5 Post-Production & Deliverables
- Editing and animation workflows follow documented procedures to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Content is reviewed internally prior to client delivery.
- Delivery formats are selected to suit the intended platform(s), such as intranet, social media, learning platforms, or live events.
- Multiple versions are created where required for different formats or audiences.
- Files are archived according to internal retention and backup procedures.
4.6 Licensing, Rights & Compliance
- All third-party assets (music, stock footage, graphics, and fonts) are licensed for commercial use.
- Filming permissions and contributor releases are obtained where required.
- Client-provided assets are used in accordance with permissions given.
- Copyright ownership and usage rights are defined contractually.
5. DATA, SECURITY & CONFIDENTIALITY
- Tale Production Limited complies with UK GDPR and relevant data protection regulations.
- Client data and footage are stored securely with controlled access.
- Backup systems are used to prevent data loss.
